Its like you go to the page and you see the five shows with the same date, but it doesn't tell you what mic source it is or who taped it. I hate to whine, but this still very unorganized. Yeah somethings are done better, but for the average user will find this very confusing.

thanks,

nick c.

There's a fix in place for this...scroll to the bottom of the search page and click "Show 'source' field". That should permanently fix the results to show the source for every show. :)

Unfortunately, that only displays one of the three useful fields that the old format did (lineage and taper are missing), and sometimes it's not very informative, depending on how the uploader decided to fill them. I guess it didn't seem crucial until this change.

And the "fix" seems to be permanent only until you close your browser (at least if you don't enable permanent cookies?).

The other two are on the Archive's to-do list, we've been assured. And yes, if you allow the Archive to set permanent cookies[1] then those settings will be permanent as well.

[1] at least, I would assume that permanant cookies are the reason it works for me. I block cookies from most sites, and only allow session-cookies from many others, but the Archive definitely seems to be one of those sites that cookies were designed for, and definitely the sort of site I'm willing to trust, so I have them fully white-listed.
